Today students reviewed how to model adding integers on the number line. They also went over how to use a picture to find the distance between integers. Today students completed a classwork assignment for a grade. They also completed a practice computation challenge. Today students learned how to rewrite subtraction problems as addition problems by adding the opposite! Class Activities: 1-IN-ticket - formative assessment(see me in homeroom to make-up if you were absent) 2-Subtracting Integers - rewrite as an addition problem. Students should Add the Opposite.....Practice! Example: 1- Add the Opposite 5 - 4 same as Adding 5 + -4 -3 - 2 same as Adding -3 + -2 -6 - -7 same as Adding -6 + 7 Add the Opposite...... Today students learned how to compare rational numbers.
